Natural sources and interaction of gamma rays with degradable materials in the soil contaminated with crude oil

Abstract

In the present study the soil samples in polluted and unpolluted area was examined by using high-purity germanium detector (HPGe).The result indicated the present of some nuclide such as (CS,H,SR) that accumulated in the beginning and then stable and the polluted area show higher levels of pollution than unpolluted area
