Rp-Hplc Method For Simultaneous Estimation Of Tobramycin And Dexamethasone In Combined Dosage Form

Abstract

A rapid and sensitive reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) method hasbeen
developed for simultaneous estimation of tobramycin and dexamethasone.Chromatographic separation
was achieved on reverse phase Hypersil BDS C18 column (150 X 4.6 mm,5 µm) using the mobile phase
consisting of phosphate buffer pH 6.0 and acetonitrile in the ratio of 70:30, v/v. The mobile phase was
pumped at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min and detection was done by UVdetector at 263 nm. The proposed
method was found to be simple, fast, accurate, precise and reproducible and could be applied for routine
quality control analysis for simultaneous determination of tobramycin and dexamethasone in pharmaceutical
dosage forms.
