Abstract

Southern Tamil Nadu, with its rich and diverse ecosystems, harbors a vast array of insect life, contributing significantly to the region's ecological balance. This article explores the insect biodiversity of Southern Tamil Nadu, highlighting the distinct ecosystems, the role of insects in these habitats, and the pressing need for conservation. Through a detailed study of various ecosystems such as dry forests, wetlands, and coastal areas, we examine the diversity, ecological roles, and conservation challenges faced by the insect populations in the region.
